Information collection

We collect a variety of information when you visit our website, register for our services or contact us directly.

Personal information that we will collect includes your name, email address, date of birth, postal address, phone number and any information you provide as part of your communications with us. We collect this information in the following ways:

When you visit our website

Your IP (Internet Protocol) address registers on our servers. This number can’t be used to identify you, but it can be used to identify the computer that you are using.

We also collect information about which pages you visit. We use cookies to tell us what web pages have been visited, or how many times certain pages have been visited. When you view our website and select the option of ‘remember me’ a cookie will be placed on your computer that will remember your computer’s IP address. The cookie doesn’t identify you as an individual, just the computer you used, to make using the website easier for you next time.

If you’d prefer to avoid any of these, you should delete cookies after your visit. Or you could use your browser’s anonymous usage setting, such as ‘Incognito’ in Chrome, ‘InPrivate’ in Internet Explorer, ‘Private Browsing’ in Firefox and Safari.

For example, we will share your information with your training college, should you be registerd on our masters or doctorate courses. The information you provide will only be used for the purpose(s) stated when it was collected; in association with your ongoing support as a donor, to supply you with the goods or services you have requested and/or to keep you informed about upcoming bpf activity.

If you have indicated you would like to be kept informed we will send you information about other goods and services we provide or relevant activity that might be of interest. Any communication we send will include details of how you can opt out of future communication from us, but you can email marketing@bpf-psychotherapy.org.uk at any point to request that we destroy any data we have on you.
